Colin has a diverse background in economics, financial compliance, and law. He graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a BSc in Economics in 2015.
After completing his undergraduate degree, Colin pursued a career in the financial compliance sector. He gained valuable experience in financial crimes investigations. His work involved anti-money laundering and investigations in fraud, tax evasion and avoidance. His work involved conducting meticulous analysis of complex commercial structures involving politically exposed personnel, trusts and significant cross-border coverage across a range of jurisdictions in APAC, Central Asia, Europe, the UK and USA. Collaborating closely with financial regulators further intrigued his interest in the legal profession.

Throughout his career, Colin has developed exceptional skills in maintaining client relationships from frequently working with high-net-worth individuals and C-Suite Executives.

Aspiring to become a solicitor, Colin returned to the UK. He completed the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) at BPP University in 2020 with commendation and the Legal Practice Course with Master’s in law, Business and Management from the University of Law in 2021 with distinction.

Prior to joining Jackson Lyon LLP, Colin interned at various law firms in Hong Kong and London. During these internships, he focused on civil litigation, conveyancing, wills, and probates and private client matters.

Colin speaks native English, Cantonese Chinese and fluent Mandarin.
